The Daily Bits

This one is about 24 hours late but it’s a rather interesting game. It reminds me of playing marbles when I was younger. Basically you start out with a set of balls and you have to use your balls to knock the other players off the board. It’s quite addicting and easy to get the hang of. you can play it here.

I also have half the mind to take this blog, archive the posts, and start fresh with a nice tumblelog. I really can’t think of anything to post about, if I do I end up being too lazy ot post it -.-… Anyways enjoy!

I’ve been saving this one since September. It didn’t seem right to post it then since it had an obvious winter theme. Basically launch the bunny rabbit type of thingy mabob and try to make it hit as many snowflakes as possible. Take a look at it here.

Flashy Friday this week is here. It’s a fun game… sorta. Only thing is it doesn’t let you turn off the damn music. So that’s a bit annoying. The objective here is to prevent the black balls from hitting your white ball. The game ends if your white ball gets knocked out of the circular area.

Flash version of Super Smash Bros for N64. That was one of my favourite games. This is very authentic with the music and whatnot. Levels and graphics could use some work though…

There is an equal and opposite reaction (Newton’s third law). This week it’s a flashy friday game/sim that does exactly that. You move around with the arrow keys while shooting bullets. However when you shoot a bullet you are thrown back with recoil. If you fall off the map the game is over. It gets more and more difficult as the objects can fire back at you.

Ok time to do some thinking. This weeks Flashy Friday is a game in which you must use the pieces given to you and build the pinball machine. Not only do you build the pinball machine but you have to make the ball go to a certain spot.

This weeks game is a rather hard game… The object is to trap the cat in the play area. For the record I have not completed it.

This week it’s a game recommended by Trekkie. Basically this is a flash version of Dominion Wars. You go around running freight runs and then if you run into a Dominion vessel try and destroy it. It’s not as as easy as it sounds. Trekkie actually completed it whereas I did not. Definitely something you want to try if you like the Dominion War.

This week it is a little exercise. You must spot the 5 differences between the two pictures. To do this simply click where you think something is different. The count will decrease as you get them right.

This week is a puzzle rather than a straightforward game. Basically the idea is to make sure that each hexagon only has a certain number of hexagons around it. The first step is to take note of how many are allowed. If it says 1 then only 1 hexagon is allowed to touch the other hexagon. Levels get harder (of course) by limiting how many hexagons you can move.

“An animated tribute to the internet people of the world, wherever you may be.” Basically it goes through all of the known and famous web 2.0 people and internet people in general. Some of the mentioned people were Weird Al, Numa Numa, Leory Jenkins, and Ask a Ninja.

Thule Trail is a modern version of the classic Oregon Trail game. It may be from before your time but I spent extensive hours playing it during my computer classes. This game is modern with the exception that you can still hunt for food. I needed a quick setup so I set it up with Me, Mike, Brad, Jeff, and Creepeh. Sorry to anyone else on the mod staff… the car only holds 5.

This weeks Flashy Friday is a high speed chase. The goal here is that you must take out 3 cars using your own. You also have to avoid hitting the traffic. Now… I think it would be more fun if you were a police car instead of a standard red car. Anyways this is one of the funnest ones I’ve seen in a while. Play it here.

Also I’m beginning to wonder if this blog has outlived it’s purpose. Originally it was supposed to be for Runecape/Tech writing. I get my tech stuff out during RSBANDBUpdate! and I am now posting everything RS related on RuneWire. Sure I could write about other things… the scandalist Liberal party of Canada, Runescape idiots, RSBandB forum issues, or just completely random stuff. Now I’m not sure what the people of this blog want but I’m not entirely sure myself.

So anyways… post in the comments what you think. I would love to have a tumblelog like tumblr.com but I prefer to have things hosted on our own server.

Well a break from games for once. I saw this commercial on TV a few days ago and thought it was quite funny. I’m not sure if it’s anywhere else in the world or just Canada… but anyways here it is.

Also I’d like to send a shout out to various blogs out there who think it’s cute to create media themed days using alliteration. In case you’re not sure I’m referring to Media Monday and Funny Friday. I’m sure this trend started somewhere… but anyways more so on the first one it would have been nice to have a link saying that you were at least at the very minimal inspired by this feature at The Daily Bits.

Ok… I’ll be brief.. I’m not sure how much longer i’ll last today so here’s Flashy Friday. In this game you’re given an objective of touching a certain number of disks. To start you click on the screen anywhere hoping to make contact, if you make contact it forms a chain reaction. So they key here is making sure your chain reaction will touch the required number of disks.

The objective of this weeks flashy game is to simultaneously control two balls while evading triangles. The keyboard controls the left screen, the mouse controls the right. It’s a pretty good task of multi tasking I have done quite well.

In this game what you have to do is move the crane and knock the police van as far off the road as possible. Kinda fun. Seems appropriate with all the Simpsons movie hype.

This week’s Flashy Friday is a game in which you must get the block (2 cubes put together) down a hole on the specified map. You can only roll the block to accomplish this. The fact that it’s a rectangular block causes some problems. You can play it here.

OK. First off this isn’t flash but I just couldn’t resist. Basically if you’ve got an interest in the planets this will be fun for you. Basically what you do is you insert planets by using a “circle” on the menu. The planets will orbit around the sun and be affected by other planets. You can even add more suns! Lets just say you wouldn’t want me to create a binary planetary system

Another game this week, in this one you must shoot a star and then the destroyed stars shoot off other projectiles. So in essence you’re creating a chain reaction of star explosions. It would be more cool however if the actual stars were *real* stars and not little drawings. Although still fun. I do recommend that you disable the background music and sounds…

This week is a rather interesting flash game in which you must try and snap a photo of superman. As the levels increase the game gets harder obviously. This is accomplished by increasing the speed and angle in which the fellow flys at. It also puts him over many different cities.
